Excursions and Recreation Tips

Year-round recreation tips in Salzburg province -

The special strength of Leogang lies in its many recreational opportunities and holiday offers. Whether an active outdoor sports fan, individual explorer, single or family with kids, the most beautiful weeks of the year spent here become a memorable experience.
Leogang still is a part of Salzburg province, though it does lies on the border with Tyrol. From Hotel Rupertus it is just 10 minutes to the Hochfilzen, annual venue of the Biathlon World Cup. You are also just 40 minutes away from Kitzbühel as well as Kaprun.

Salzburg - the city of culture

The capital city of Salzburger Land is just an hour's drive away. Aside from countless museums, visitors are constantly captivated by Mozart's Birthplace in the Getreidegasse, Hohensalzburg Fortress and Hellbrunn Zoo. Also popular: Europark shopping mall and the outlet center by the airport.
