We have been members of the Climate Alliance since 2008, with environmental considerations always at the forefront of our thinking.
Our Philosophy on Environmental Protection
Our intact environment isn't just the main reason guests book with us, or to provide a great recreational setting for them, this is also where we work, live and where our children grow up. It has been our goal for many years to teach our employees, as well as our guests, more about our environment through greater outdoor exercise and recreation. Reductions in emissions, along with building improvements, are a matter of course. Climate protection, naturally, doesn't happen in one single day, but is rather a long-lasting process, one which we support 100%.
What we've already done to protect the environment
- extremely low heating demands through optimal insulation, planning and utilization of building warmth;
- through the Salzburg Organic Breakfast, we have taken the 1st step towards a comprehensive concept. Regional products from quality-inspected organic farmers represent better nutrition and greater sustainability;
- optimal heat insulation on the south-west side where we have built our new addition;
- biomass heating throughout the hotel and private quarters;
- conversion to energy-saving bulbs and lighting;
- construction of employee housing just 200 meters away - ¾ of staff are pedestrians, and their building is also heated through biomass;
Future Measures
