The organic garden is a hobby and vital part of Hotel Rupertus. You will always find us "in action" there during the summer months.
We are constantly harvesting, sowing, or planting a brand-new area.
We grow over 50 different organic herbs, which are used in the kitchen and dried out for teas in the winter.
Each small herb has is own healing power and significance.
If we stroll past the tomato and chive beds, we come to a variety of lettuces.
Every day in the summer months, we harvest for our guests a fresh "bowl of Rupertus leaf salad".
The vitamins come fresh from the garden and direct to the buffet table.
Our fruit trees are still a little young, but that means we are even more excited when it comes time to harvest them in autumn.
Pears are made into jam, and the apples are stored and allowed to ripen naturally. The berries are processed immediately, of course, and a little snacking is allowed as well.
Straight from the bush - it doesn't get any better than this!
The butterfly bush is, as the name implies, a magnet for a variety of different butterflies. We often count as many as 30 in one small area, a natural spectacle not seen every day, except right here with us.
Real wine is made into an exquisite jam, appearing at our organic breakfast or with our Christmas cookies.
In the midst of all this variety, our guests always find countless quiet spots to sunbathe, daydream on a floating lounger, soaking in the views of the Leoganger Steinberge and our abundant plants.
