Away from the ski slopes, once a week during your vacation, generally on Tuesday, Gottfried Herzog will take you out through our pristine winter countryside.

You will need sturdy hiking shoes (ankle-high) and your usual ski clothing.

You will hike for about 1.5 hours up to an alpine hut and, if the group still has some energy left over, even a little further on to an area of high pastures.

From there you enjoy beautiful views out over the snowy Leogang Valley.
A well-provisioned snack pack filled with organic products, along with a hot mug of tea, will give you all the energy you need.  And one thing is very clear: Up on a mountaintop, everything tastes twice as good as usual.

The crowning moments come during the descent, always accompanied by lots of good fun.  Depending on what you're up for, you'll cross open terrain, venture the occasional small jump, and eventually return to the valley below.

Snowshoeing is to experience nature in the purest form. It is the lonely silence of freshly snowy winter forest. It's the way youdraw the first track through the virgin snow. It is the joy, to set goals to have reached own power - be it a distant peaks or the surrounding hills - goals, what the others must remain hidden.

With the first snow, the landscapes get suddenly a completely new and different quality pastures, covered with strange glitteringhoarfrost crystals in the winter and the snow-covered trees look like fairy tale characters who are dressed in crisp white coats. The snow-covered landscape invites to go the way with snowshoes.

Great views to enjoy the mountain range and maybe it is possible to see wild animals in the free nature.
