We are partners with one of the most reputable mountain bike guide schools in Austria, an association of Austrian cycle guides - Bikepro. In co-operation with the Austrian cycle sport association and Mountainbike Holidays we have for many years been training the next generation of certified mountain bike guides. Our qualified guides guarantee the utmost quality and unique mountain bike adventures.
Requirements for participation
- Technical ride ability - Safe mountain biking on single trails (with hairpin bends and steeper uphill and downhill sections)
- Good health status (see medical certificate) and good level of endurance
- Your own equipment (see equipment list)
Practice
- Practical methodical exercises (to determine ability)
- Ride technique (improve your own ability level)
- Tours (guide conduct: group guidance, orientation,...)

- Equipment knowledge & expertise
- First Aid
- Environment and law
- Training sessions
- Professional knowledge / Tourism
- Final exam
The theory and practical tests are held on the final two days of the course. Participants receive a certificate and credentials after the training.
Mountain bike
- Hard-tail or Marathon fully
- Safety pedals / Combi pedals
- Your mountain bike must be in good technical order!
Additional equipment
- Drinks bottle holder or drinks rucksack
- Service equipment
- First Aid equipment
- Cycle trousers: long and short
- Cycle jersey: long and short
- Shoes to match your pedal set-up
- Helmet, gloves, sports glasses and rucksack
- Wind and rain protection (trousers and jacket)
- Functional underwear
